LIVE Egyptian Walking Onion Transplants

Each order includes 5 transplants. Each transplant varies on size of transplant but will contain a minimum of 5 items of the best of whatever we have in stock that day. These are fresh harvested and have some roots to give your onions a boost on growing. 
These onions are an old time favorite because they self seed from the bulbils on top of each onion. Most onions will produce 2-10 onions each if allowed to mature so that the bulbils touch the soil. So if you water them and mulch them and take care that they have enough sun then you should only have to create your onion patch one time and enjoy it for years to come.

If you have cats or dogs that tend to dig in your garden beds, simply rake back the top inch or two of good compost or topsoil and cut a piece of metal/wire fence panel the size of your bed. Lay it flat on the ground and cover it with the topsoil/compost about 1-3" and wet it thoroughly to firm the soil. Allow the area to dry a bit and then plant your onion transplants in the squares between the fence wire. This method works to detract "little diggers" of many kinds from tearing up your garden beds.
