Plant once and harvest onions for years—these hardy Perennial  Egyptian Walking Onion transplants multiply on their own and return every season.

If you want a dependable, low-effort food crop that keeps producing year after year, these are one of the best plants you can grow.

These are one of the easiest food crops you can grow. Once established, they produce green onions early in the season and continue to spread naturally with little effort.

Each order includes 6 well-rooted, actively growing transplants—not dormant bulbs.

Each transplant varies on size of transplant but will contain a minimum of 6 items of the best of whatever we have in stock that day. These are fresh harvested and have some roots to give your onions a boost on growing.

Harvested in small batches from our current stock—availability changes with the season.

These onions are an old time favorite because they self seed from the bulbils on top of each onion. Most onions will produce 2-10 onions each if allowed to mature so that the bulbils touch the soil. If you plant them deep with tops showing a couple inches above the soil they will self blanch and appear a lot like leeks and are much more tender and mild in flavor.

If you water them and mulch them and take care that they have enough sun then you should only have to create your onion patch one time and enjoy it for years to come.

Over time, a small starter patch can turn into a steady, reliable supply of onions without replanting each season.

These are very forgiving plants and a great choice even if you’re new to gardening.
